JUST IN: UK, US, EU told to send observers to monitor Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial

The governments of the United Kingdom, United states and the European union have been advised to send observers to monitor proceedings in the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Kanu is set to be arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja today for a continuation of his trial. The embattled secessionist leader is facing charges ranging from illegal possession of firearms, terrorism and treasonable felony. He will be appearing before Justice Binta Nyako amidst tight security.

Activist, Deji Adeyanju took to Twitter to urge the UK, US and EU to send their observers to witness what he described as “violations of human rights”.

“I urge the UK, US & EU to send observers to Federal H/Court in Abuja before, during and after Nnamdi Kanu’s trial today so that they can witness first hand the violations of human rights in Nigeria by the tyrannical Buhari regime.”, he wrote.

He also criticized the Nigerian Government stating;”A nation that forgives terrorists but violently harasses critics and those speaking truth to power.”

“Not one Boko Haram member, killer herdsmen or bandits on trial in the entire country. Real shame! This is the most useless Govt in the history of Nigeria.”

  1. What is wrong with these so called activist in Nigeria? They are always looking up to other countries to fight for their rights. If one has to leverage support from any external force to support your cause in Nigeria, the UN or AU should be the first port of call.
And we complain about neo-colonialism, yet at every opportunity we tuck the coats of the big-brother neo-colonialist to help us scratch our noses when it itches. Na wa for Africans and black people all across the world!

  2. Do you think you can stand to commit a crime in Nigeria and then run to Europe countries for then to help and get you out free if caught by the government of your country? You better think twice before you foolishly do anything stupidly
