Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has appealed to fellow Nigerians to pardon President Muhammadu Buhari for not knowing the location of on his school certificate.
During an interview on Channels Television Sunrise Daily, when asked about President Buhari’s missing certificate, Alhaji Mohammed said that the President deserved to be pardoned for not knowing where his certificate was after leaving school 53 years
“53 years after a fellow has left secondary school, I think we should pardon him if he does not know where he has kept it”.

Waec certificate is the most basic criterion for public office in Nigeria. Now, the holder of the highest public office does not have this most basic of qualifications and you want Nigerians to overlook it?

PARDON BUHARI FOR VIOLATING SECTION 131 OF THE 1999 CONSTITUTION (as amended) AND SECTION 31 OF THE ELECTORAL ACT (as amended).
We agree on Two Conditions: 1, Buhari himself must apologize to the Nation for violating both the Nigerian Constitution and the Electoral Act;
2, Immediately after the above prescribed apology, Buhari must resign from the office of The President and seek for a clerical job, if he qualifies.

As far as Nigeria is concerned you can’t even get a driving job without certificate, so why should a position as sensitive as presidency be without a certificate, is only in Nigeria that you get to hear such. It is a shame that we have found ourselves in this situation.
