Abdulmumin Jibrin, the campaign spokesperson of Rabiu Kwankwaso, the New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) presidential flagbearer for the 2023 election, has said that his principal has an edge over Bola Tinubu, his counterpart in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that according to Jibrin, Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, has more experience, exposure, and pedigree than Tinubu.
Jibrin is the former Director-General (DG) of the Bola Tinubu Support Group.
“What I have always maintained is that Kwankwaso has an edge, clearly has an edge,” Jibrin said in an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Thursday night, monitored by this newspaper.
“In terms of experience, in terms of the responsibilities that he’s held, in terms of exposure, in terms of what he has achieved as governor, everything that we are saying, that Kwankwaso is going to do is what he has done as a governor.
“Relating to the case of Bola Tinubu, I have said it much earlier, I’ve never taken back any word I have said about Tinubu, but I have moved to another party, reunite with my political mentor who I have always believed has an edge over them.
“And these things are all things that can be seen clearly.”
