A Lagos-based lawyer and popular activist, Dele Farotimi, on Saturday said that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), “would have to rig massively” in the Southwest, South-south, and Southeast geopolitical zones to win the 2023 election.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Atiku is taking his fifth time at the presidency. He has had other unsuccessful contests for the seat under both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his current party, the PDP.
Farotimi in a quote tweet permutated that the ruling APC, with the Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima ticket, “will definitely have a say” in the Northeast and the Northwest zones.
He also expressed his belief that on the whole, Atiku does not have a feasible path to victory.
Atiku would have to rig massively in the SW, SS, and SE to win. And Emilokan with Shettima, his oga will definitely have a say in the NE and the NW. The NC is breaking for Peter Obi, and I honestly don’t believe that Etiku has a honest and viable path to victory..😊 https://t.co/S6RpOt62o5
