2023: Farooq Kperogi speaks on Buhari’s “anointed” candidate

Media scholar, Farooq Kperogi, on Tuesday said President Muhammadu Buhari does not have an “anointed” candidate in the 2023 presidential election, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.

According to Kperogi, Buhari “is fine with anyone who won’t probe him”.

The public commentator also expressed his belief that the permutation in the ruling All Progressives Congress APC) is intended to edge out Bola Tinubu “whom Buhari and the cabal both fear and despise”.

“People Buhari has advised to run for president often assume that they’re his “anointed” candidates. But it’s an Abdullahi Adamu-inspired scam.

“The truth is that Buhari doesn’t have an “anointed” candidate. His only concern is that whoever succeeds him should be someone who’ll conceal his iniquities, who’ll not probe the unprecedentedly stratospheric corruption his regime is perpetrating,” Kperogi said in his latest piece.

The next Nigerian presidential election will be held on 25 February 2023. Incumbent President, Buhari, of the APC, is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third term.
