As the 2023 election draws near, former Local Government Chairmen who served between 2016 and 2019 under the administration of Ogun State former Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Monday dumped the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the factional PDP governorship candidate of the party, Oladipupo Adebutu, alongside the Director General of the Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organization, Alhaji Semiu Sodipo, received the decampees in Abeokuta, the state capital.
The decampees expressed their delight at joining Adebutu’s “moving train”.
The former Chairpersons: Gafar Balogun(Ewekoro LG), Mrs Olabisi Collins (Obafemi Owode LG), Gbadebo Olajuwon (Ifo LG), Ekun Adebayo (Ifo LG), Josu Amos (Ipokia LG), Kunle Folarin (Abeokuta North LG), and Rasaq Adeagbo (Yewa North LG), declared their steadfast commitment towards the victory of Adebutu and affirmed their unwavering support for the party at large.
