[2023] FULL LIST: 8 things Nigeria’s next President must do – Shehu Sani

A former lawmaker who represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial District from 2015 to 2019, Senator Shehu Sani, on Wednesday reeled out a to-do list for whoever succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

1. Combatting Terrorism.
2: Fixing the Economy.
3: Uniting the country.
4: Fixing power.
5: Servicing Debt.
6: Public universities issues.
7: Petroleum subsidy issues.
8: Restructuring.

Some of the frontline candidates in respect of the 2023 presidential election include Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Labour Party (LP’s) Peter Obi.

Meanwhile, Sani’s party, the PDP, has called for the United Nations (UN) continued support of Nigeria’s electoral system and closely monitor the 2023 General Elections against any form of manipulation.

The party’s Deputy National Chairman (North), Umar Damagum, made the appeal while receiving a team of Special Representatives of the UN Secretary-General, led by the Head of the UN Office in West Africa and the Sahel Region (UNOWAS), Ahmad Annadif, on Tuesday in Abuja.
