2023: Hundreds dump PDP for APC in Kogi [PHOTOS]

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, about one thousand members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lokoja Local Government Area (LGA) of Kogi State have officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the event which took place recently at Adankolo community had in attendance political leaders of the APC from Lokoja/Kogi Koton Karfe federal constituency: Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Abubakar Bashir Gegu; the Chairman of Lokoja Local Government, Mohammed Danasebe; and Lokoja local government APC Chairman, Bature Maikudi.

Others are Lokoja APC stakeholders Chairman, Suleiman Babadoko; Lokoja/Koton APC House of Representative candidate, Danladi Aguye; Lokoja 1 State House of Assembly candidate, Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani; and Kogi/Koton Karfe State House of Assembly candidate, Maikudi Girinya.

The leader of the decampees, Mohammed Aro, affirmed their total support to the APC at all levels and vowed to support the ruling party’s mission.

Receiving the decampees, the APC party Chairman, Bature, said: “APC is the only party in Lokoja local government.

“Joining the party is a good decision you’ve all made at a time like this and you won’t have any reason to regret it.”
