A former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has said that he respects Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 election.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Garba, who noted that he loves Igbo people stated that he dislikes the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) because they are “terrorists”.
“I love the Igbos, and I respect Peter Obi, but I reject IPOB and ESN as terrorists.
“Are you with me?” Garba wrote on his verified Twitter handle recently.
Although, critics have alleged that supporters of IPOB have switched allegiance to Obi, the former governor of Anambra State has dissociated himself from the separatist organisation while the group also said it does not share any ideological traits with the Obi campaign.
Garba, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja is one of the top campaigners of his party’s presidential flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.
