Leaders of the Southern and Middle Belt Forum have warned the two major political parties in Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), against presenting a candidate of northern extraction in the 2023 presidential election.
In a communiqué jointly signed by the leader of Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Chief Edwin Clark; Afenifere leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo; President-General, Middle Belt Forum, Dr Pogu Bitrus; President-General, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Prof George Obiozor; and the National Chairman, Pan-Niger Delta Forum, Senator Emmanuel Essien, obtained by POLITICS NIGERIA, at the end of the meeting of the forum, which was held recently in Abuja, the Southern and middle belt leaders reiterated their call for power to shift to the South in 2023.
“We warn that the reported permutations by the main political parties to foist northern presidential candidates on the nation would be a grave misadventure, with grim consequences on national concord and harmony.
“We, therefore, call on all delegates of all political parties, and true lovers of democracy, as a sacred obligation, to reject presidential aspirants, or candidates, from the North, and only vote for those from the South in the party primaries,” the communiqué reads in part.
Furthermore, the statesmen asked politicians from the South not to accept a Vice-Presidential slot.

Ayo Adebanjo is most delusional and perhaps senile.
He criticized his own with so much vehemence and hateful pathology. He hates ABAT, the only vibrant viable candidate to come from his region with a compulsive proportion. He now cries wolf foul and after spilled milk.
WHEN IT APPEARS GLARING THAT YOU HATE THE ONLY PROBABLE CAPABLE PERSON WHO COULD BRING HOME THE MUCH ELUSIVE PRIZE WITH REPULSIVE ADRELINE, AMOUNTS TO A BREAK IN RANK, DIVIDED AND A CRACKED WALL FOR CREVICE AND AVENUE FOR EASY PENETRATION BY FOREIGN BODIES AND ADVERSITY.
These old folks do not know what they want. Just loafing around and that they have done severally over time and reason we are still here and cannot get it yet.
Their fears are without own unwholesome selfish interests with evil machinations and MISCALCULATIONS.
Their adversaries have seen the incoherence and about to CAPITALIZE on it. Because they know the terrain and the opponents with their ODDITIES. Most unfortunate.
