The presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) for the 2023 election, Kola Abiola on Friday dismissed insinuations that he is working for the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Abiola described the claim as false.
Abiola, the eldest son of late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola, acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 election, stated this while addressing women and youths at an event in Lagos.
“There are those who say Kola is working for Tinubu, it is a lie. I am not working for Tinubu but rather working for myself and the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP.
“Go there and vote for PRP with the symbol of key.”
Furthermore, the PRP candidate promised that he will not let the electorate down on its manifesto and campaign promises.
Earlier, the PRP debunked rumour that it had collapsed its structure in support of Tinubu. The party said it was in the 2023 race to win.
