Deji Adeyanju, a former Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday told Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential flagbearer of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), to “collapse his structure” and team up with Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in respect of 2023.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that according to Adeyanju, Kwankwaso only has local support, which is in Kano State, while Obi has a national appeal.
“Kwankwaso should collapse his structure to work with Peter Obi. Obi is popular all over the country. Kwankwaso’s influence is only in Kano. They will both make a good President and Vice,” Adeyanju wrote on his known Twitter handle.
Obi, who was a presidential aspirant of the PDP, resigned his membership of the party last week.
Kwankwaso also until March was a member of the PDP. He initially set up a third force, which he christened The National Movement (TNM). The political group featured names like Professor Rufai Ahmed Alkali, a former Publicity Secretary of the PDP; Buba Galadima; Tahir Saad; Solomon Dalung; Rufai Hanga and Senator Grace Bent.
