A spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council, Dino Melaye, on Sunday said his principal, Atiku Abubakar, is ahead of the trio of Rabiu Kwankwaso (NNPP), Bola Tinubu (APC) and Peter Obi (Labour Party) because they have no national experience.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that speaking in a video posted on his known Twitter page, the former lawmaker said Atiku, a former Nigerian vice-president, understands the role of a president because he has held the post in acting capacity a few times.
“Rabiu Kwankwaso, Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi all have governorship experience, and that is limited to their respective states where they were CEOs.
“The governor has no capacity to understand what is happening in the 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. They have no national experience,” Melaye said.
“He has no control over clandestine security agencies and how they operate. It is a far cry.
“It is like comparing a local government Chairman and a Deputy-Governor in a governorship race.
“Having been vice-president of this country for eight years, having acted as the acting president a couple of times, he is ahead of them.”
