2023: New ANAP poll gives Peter Obi lead [CHART]

10 days to the 2023 election, results of a nationwide poll conducted by ANAP Foundation in respect of the forthcoming presidential election came out on Wednesday showing Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, maintaining his lead.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the poll is the third and final survey conducted by the non-profit organization.

Of the registered voters polled, 20% said they propose to vote for Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, if the 2023 presidential election were to be conducted today.

Another 13% of the respondents proposed to vote for Bola Tinubu (the All Progressives Congress, APC) who emerged in second place. Abubakar Atiku (the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP) placed third with 10% and Rabiu Kwankwaso (the New Nigeria Peoples Party) was a distant fourth with only 3% of voters proposing to vote for him.

The first ANAP poll was conducted in September 2022; the second, December 2022; and the last one in February 2023. All the polls favoured Obi.
