Ahead of the 2023 general elections, over seven thousand members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State have defected to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the Oyo governorship candidate of the NNPP, Engr. Popoola Olukayode Joshua, who received the new members across the 33 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the State on Friday said majority of Nigerians are frustrated with the two major political parties.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State governorship candidate of the NNPP, Olufemi Ajadi, on Thursday joined other political stalwarts to storm the official unveiling of the NNPP Oyo State gubernatorial candidate, Engr. Joshua and his running mate, Alhaja Adesope Madinat Atinuke.
The event took place at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State.
At the event, Joshua said the NNPP was ready to obtain power from the Governor Seyi Makinde’s PDP-led administration.
