Ahead of the 2023 election, former president Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday said he has no preferred presidential candidate.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Obasanjo, who stated this in Minna, Niger State, when he paid former Head of State, General Abdulsalam Abubakar a visit, said he only has a national agenda not a preferred candidate.
“I don’t have a special candidate, I have a national agenda,” the former Nigerian leader said.
Last week, Obasanjo cautioned supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the claim that he has endorsed him .
Obasanjo expressed dissatisfaction with what he described as unauthorised report of the discussion at the closed doors meeting he held with Tinubu.
Since he quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in February 2015, the octogenarian has always declined to publicly endorse any presidential candidate.
WE SHALL SOON FIND OUT.
I have since learn to not take anything from the Otta brute.
BELEIVE HIM AT YOUR OWN PERIL.
