About 246 supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and Social Democratic Party (SDP) have decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mallam Madori Local Government Area (LGA) of Jigawa State.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the council chairman, Mallam Usaini Umar BK received the decampees and assured them of full representation in the APC.
In his speech the deputy chairman of the APC north-east senatorial zone, Alhaji Ango Mallam Madori called on the new members to unite themselves for the success of the party in the 2023 general elections.
He said Governor Badaru Abubakar pledged to give two buses to any local government that produce the highest number of voters for the party.
On her part, the APC women leader, Hajia Rabi ‘Broker’, said women in the state have pledged to vote for APC candidates in the next general elections.
Also speaking, APC senatorial candidate Ambassador Ahmed Mallam Madori charged the people in the area to vote for APC candidates at all levels.
One of the decampees, Mallam Muhammad Mai Yarbawa from Dunari quarters said he left the PDP alongside his associates due to non-fulfillment of promises.
