2023: Police arrest APC Chairman over electoral fraud [PHOTO]

Aminu Ali Shana, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Yautan Arewa ward, Gabasawa Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano state has been arrested by the police in the state for being in possession of over 300 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the APC leader was accused of planning to perpetrate electoral fraud in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

The offence is contrary to section 21 and 22 subsection 1 (a), (b) and (c) of the electoral act 2022 of Nigeria as amended.

The police has already transferred the suspect to the department of criminal investigation (CID) of Kano state command in Bompai for further investigation.

Reacting to the development, opposition parties and civil society organizations demanded an immediate prosecution of the suspect, while urging authorities to protect democratic principles.

If this story is true , that police has arrested APC Chair man ; then true justice should be delivered to serve as a deterant to election criminals or intending electoral criminals iwithbrespect to the much anticipated election of 2023. But then ,am afraid the Nigerian system lacks the integrity and capacity to deliver true justice

  5. APC is a party of crooks and fraudsters. They are experts in election malpractices, thuggery and kangaroo court judgments to overturn the will of people in elections. APC electoral magomago no be today now. It’s in their DNA. It’s their trademark ™️
