Ahead of the 2023 elections, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Na’Abba has returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that according to Na’Abba, the APC which he defected to a few years ago, has taken Nigeria backward.
Na’Abba’s defection, alongside many of his supporters, was announced on Thursday at a meeting of former House of Representatives members in Abuja, the Nigerian capital city.
Presiding over the meeting, Austin Okpara, a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, said the PDP is poised to take over power from the APC in 2023 “to restore human dignity and economic survival of the nation”.
Also speaking was a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives and Imo State governor, Emeka Ihedioha who stated that Atiku Abubakar’s victory in the 2023 presidential election will mean so much for Nigeria and its people.
