The Special Adviser on Drainage and Water Resources to Governor Babajide Sanwo- Olu of Lagos State, Joe Igbokwe, has said Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is the sole individual in the party capable of emerging victorious in the 2023 presidential election.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Igbokwe is a staunch supporter of Tinubu, and has been actively campaigning for the former Lagos State Governor.
Aside from Tinubu, Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; Minister for Transportation Rotimi Amaechi; former governors Orji Uzor Kalu and Rochas Okorocha; and serving governors of Kogi and Ebonyi states Yahaya Bello and Dave Umahi are also seeking the ruling party’s ticket.
“Let me challenge APC Nigeria: Field another candidate other than Asiwaju in 2023 and I can tell without sounding immodest that the candidate would have been defeated by 11 am,” Igbokwe wrote on his known Facebook page on Tuesday.
In another post, he praised Tinubu’s impact to the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as President.
“Can I take it that we do not know that it is Asiwaju that drove the push to make Buhari President in 2015 and repeated the feat in 2019? The devil has been liar from the beginning,” he said.
