The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend Stephen Adegbite, has vowed to support the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, presidential flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Rev. Adegbite spoke in Lagos on Sunday during the presentation of the stewardship report of the 12-year sojourn in the Senate of the lawmaker representing Lagos Central Senatorial District, Remi Tinubu. Remi is the wife of Bola Tinubu, and she is also a pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
Rev. Adegbite was quoted as saying: “God will punish us if we don’t support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
He praised the former Lagos State governor for ‘doing more than enough to support the Body of Christ in the Southwest’, adding that Tinubu returned missionary schools to their original owners whilst governor of Lagos.
“We will pray for him and we will support him,” he said.

CAN vows! What a sorry Statement? It is a let down to Christianity. CAN can support Tinubu, but this Declaration is a bunch of the Chairman behaving like an ignorant leader. CAN has other Christians that will not support Tinubu. So CAN cannot use the word VOW. Very unfortunate.
Yes, true Muslims recognize and even support Christian activities. I believe that is why the ignorant ones pushed that he must have a Muslim running mate.
