Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, on Saturday said only Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is ready for the 2023 presidency.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Omokri aimed a subtle jibe at Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi, the presidential candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Labour Party (LP) respectively, who named placeholders, as their running mates.
While Tinubu named Kabiru Masari as his running mate for the 2023 elections, Obi announced Doyin Okupe in provisional capacity.
Both frontline candidates are expected to replace their running mates soon.
“The only candidate who is ready as of today, is @Atiku. He is prepared with his running mate and his plan to govern. NONE of the others are ready with their placeholders. That is clear now. But when they reveal their permanent running mate, it will be even clearer!” Omokri wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
