2023 presidential aspirant, Tinubu names politicians he has helped

A presidential aspirant in the 2023 Nigerian general elections, Bola Tinubu has named former Governors Olusegun Mimiko and Rauf Aregbesola among Nigerian politicians he has helped to the top.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Mimiko is presently a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while Aregbesola is a the incumbent Minister of Interior in Nigeria, and stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tinubu also listed Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, as another benefactor of his.

Speaking at the palace of the Deji of Akure, the former governor of Lagos State said he has ‘helped a lot of people’.

“I helped Mimiko got his mandate through court after two years that he was elected. I helped Fayemi get his mandate after three years. It took Aregbesola three years, 10 months, to get his mandate. We have helped many people like that,” Tinubu said.

On January 10, 2022, Tinubu announced his intention to run for the President of Nigeria to President Muhammadu Buhari. This was the formal form of announcement from him. Since then, he has been making consultations nationwide. The 69-year-old is expected to contest for president on the platform of the APC.

  1. Someone somewhere has equally help Tinubu too, and did not say about it or brag about it the way Tinubu is going his.
