2023: ‘Respect Tinubu, Atiku, others’ – Peter Obi tells supporters

As the 2023 election approaches, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), on Monday asked his supporters to ‘show respect to every candidate, tribe, religion, and person’.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, who made this plea via his verified Twitter handle, said he is aspiring for the office of president “to serve every Nigerian”.

“I am a Nigerian running to serve every Nigerian. I urge a show of respect for every candidate, tribe, religion, and person,” Obi wrote.

Meanwhile, a nationwide mass movement is underway among young Nigerians to mobilise grassroots awareness and support for Obi as their preferred choice for President of Nigeria.

In what is shaping to be the most intensely contested election in the history of Nigeria, strategies are being implemented across the country to ensure either Atiku Abubakar (Peoples Democratic Party, PDP) or Bola Tinubu (All Progressives Congress, APC) or Obi emerge the winner of the February 2023 presidential election.
