2023: Sowore reacts to Okupe’s declaration of support for Peter Obi

A presidential aspirant in the 2023 presidential election, Omoyele Sowore, on Thursday aimed a dig at “people who used to swear by Kingsley Moghalu”, but are presently showing support for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) Peter Obi.

POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that Doyin Okupe, former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan revealed in 2018 why former Kwara State Governor, Bukola Saraki and Kingsley Moghalu, former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), should lead Nigeria.

He said the pair should be allowed to rule Nigeria because they are “intellectual people with vast experiences.”

But last week, Okupe announced his support for the ambition of ex-governor of Anambra State, Obi.

Okupe also enjoined all other PDP aspirants from the South including Dele Momodu, Pius Anyim, and Nyesom Wike to team up with Obi, who is from the South-East geopolitical zone.

Seemingly reacting to that development, Sowore wrote on his verified Facebook page: “The people who used to swear by Kingsley Moghalu then are now with @Peter Obi. What happened? We told you then and now, there is nothing better than consistency!”
