As the 2023 election approaches, Aloy Ejimakor, who is lawyer to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Sunday said the proscribed group is different from “the terrorists that are related to Rabiu Kwankwaso”, presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
POLITICS NIGERIA recalls that IPOB had warned Kwankwaso to stop linking it with Labour Party’s presidential flagbearer, Peter Obi, his political ambition and campaign.
The secessionist group asked Kwankwaso to settle his differences if threatened by Labour Party and Obi’s teeming support.
This warning came after Kwankwaso said Obi has been tainted by IPOB insurgency; adding that the Vice Presidential (VP) slot was his only chance with northern votes.
“IPOB is not the same as the terrorists that are related to Kwankwaso. Yes!” Ejimakor wrote on his known Twitter handle.
