2023: What Peter Obi must do to show he isn’t working for Tinubu – Adeyanju

Deji Adeyanju, a former Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday asked presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, to combine forces in respect of the 2023 election.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Obi is the presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP), while Kwankwaso flies the flag of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

With their exuberant supporters on social media as the matchmakers, Obi and Kwankwaso announced last week that they were talking about joining forces for the 2023 presidential election.

Obi in particular has been a sensation on social media since he declared his presidential ambition and later left the PDP last month to pick the ticket of the LP unopposed.

But Adeyanju submits that notwithstanding the massive support Obi and Kwankwaso seem to be getting, the duo would perform poorly at the 2023 poll if they don’t “unite”.

“Peter Obi won’t score up to 3% of total votes cast in northern states in Nigeria. Kwankwaso won’t also get 3% votes in any Southern states. The challenges of 2023 are beyond visible to the blind. This is why opposition parties should unite except they are working for Bola Tinubu (candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC),” Adeyanju wrote on his known Twitter handle.

  1. Obi or Kwakwanzo, who heads the ticket. The Fulani man has already stated he won’t run as a vice, so the union is dead on arrival. Rather Obi than Kwakwanzo with the Fulani mentality of entitlement. If Mr. Obi ever makes an impact such no clear winner emages then Nigeria goes to the drawing table which is a good thing. Let’s discuss how to move the country forward.
