Deji Adeyanju, a prominent public commentator, has said that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election, “is just wasting his time” by travelling abroad to meet Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and some of the governor’s allies.
POLITICS NIGERIA had reported that Atiku’s meeting with Wike took place in London on Thursday, hours after reports emerged that the duo is expected to meet in the United Kingdom (UK).
Governors Samuel Ortom of Benue State; Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Abia State’s Okezie Ikpeazu were pictured together with Atiku and Wike during the meeting.
The ex-Vice-President also met his former boss, Olusegun Obasanjo.
Reacting to the London meetings, Adeyanju claimed that Wike and his associates have resolved to work for Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that they “have extracted serious agreement from him (Tinubu)”.
Tinubu met with Wike earlier this week in London.
“Atiku is just wasting his time by going to meet these people. They are already committed to working for Tinubu and have extracted serious agreement from him. Every other thing is film and acting.
“This is the only election season where opposition are meeting ruling party folks,” Adeyanju wrote on his known Twitter handle on Thursday night.
THIS IS A LIE. YOU ARE A DREAMER, TO SAY THAT WIKE IS WORKING FOR APC..
AMAZING INTERESTING AND AMUSING OPTIC.
To even suggest that dining with an opposing character is and or translates to genuine friendliness is ludicrous deceptive and delusional.
IN THIS CLIME GREETINGS AND WHINING AND DINING IS NOT LOVE. A MERE SOCIALIZATION.
Atiku Abubakar and company should remember that the Otta brute relieved Audu Ogbe of the position of chairman of the PDP after a session of pounded yam withe egusi soup washed down with rounds of palm wine. The same OBJ that in recent time said the regret of his life was making the Waziri his VP.
Atiku would be damn too childish to rely on Obasanjo for anything with the revelation of a repugnant disdain for him.
