African Action Congress (AAC) presidential aspirant, Omoyele Sowore on Saturday slammed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, and Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, over the 2023 general elections.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Governor Bello on Saturday formally declared to run for President in 2023.
The Governor made the declaration at the Eagles Square in Abuja.
Emefiele on the other hand, although not a known card-carrying member of any political party, is being promoted by some groups. The CBN Governor has not said he is contesting too, neither has he quashed campaign posters bearing his pictures.
Reacting, government critic, Sowore, posits that both men are not worthy of being president.
“These criminal elements are also asking to become Nigeria’s President. This is the highest level of insult on Nigerians. Imagine Godwin Emefiele using Central Bank of Nigeria money to fuel his ambition while a failed state Governor,@Yahaya Bello, a well known thief and plunderer of Kogi state Treasury also wanna be president of Nigeria!” Sowore wrote on his verified Facebook page.
