Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson of the All Progressives Council (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has said Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 election, has not been projected to win an APC State.
Speaking on Friday on a Channels TV programme, monitored by POLITICS NIGERIA, Keyamo said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) ‘fragmentation’ gives the Labour Party an edge in the states the PDP won in the last general election in 2019.
The APC chieftain said: “I have never been so confident of an election in Nigeria than this election. 2019, I wasn’t this confident. The demography of Nigeria, the baseline of 2015 and 2019, and the simple facts. I will give you two scenarios. Of all the states that Obi is projected to win, and he will win some; he may win some.
“But I want Nigerians to go back and sleep over this: Tell me one among those states that the APC won in 2019 that Obi is projected to win and take away from us. However, we know how many states the PDP won in 2019 that Obi is projected to take.
“Second scenario: Since 2019, what has changed in the political set-up? They lost Cross River to us, they lost Zamfara to us? They lost Ebonyi to us? How many did we lose to them?”
