2023: Why Peter Obi will not call IPOB terrorists – Adamu Garba

Adamu Garba, a presidential aspirant and member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has said Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential flagbearer, may not categorically call the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) a terrorist group because he fears doing that might work against him in respect of the 2023 election.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that critics accuse Obi of keeping quiet about the activities of the banned organisation which is pushing for southeast states to break away from Biafra. His running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, has come out to say that is not true, as the former Anambra State governor is not in support of the frontline pro-Biafra group.

Still, Garba tackled him.

“To disprove Miyetti Allah, Peter Obi should go to Arewa House, organize a media conference & categorically call IPOB as terrorist that they are, like all senior political leaders from the North called Boko Haram and Bandits as terrorist.

“Alas, he may not do that. Don’t blame them,” Garba wrote on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday.
