Aminu Tambuwal, Governor of Sokoto State, on Tuesday said the southern region of Nigeria might find it hard to win Presidency for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because zoning does not favour his party at the moment.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Tambuwal was speaking at a consultative meeting with former principal officers of the National Assembly in Abuja.
“You cannot zone what you don’t have,” Tambuwal, a presidential aspirant, said.
The former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives had said that come 2023, the PDP must rescue Nigeria from imminent collapse.
The 56-year-old said this in Kaduna last weekend while addressing hundreds of PDP faithful at the State Secretariat of the Party.
While decrying the ‘hardship’ being faced by many Nigerians, he alleged that what happened between President Muhammadu Buhari and the people of Nigeria was “a forced marriage” and there world hardly be any harmony or trust in the relationship.
