Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike has aimed a subtle dig at Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election, saying the former vice-president ‘fled’ to the opposition in 2014.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that there seems not to be an end in sight to the disagreement between Governor Wike; the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu; and Atiku
Speaking on Thursday during the Rivers State PDP stakeholders meeting at Government House, Port Harcourt, Wike said unlike those who “walked out from Eagle Square and joined the APC” in 2014, he will not leave the PDP.
“We are not like them, when in 2014; they walked out from Eagles Square and joined APC. Did they remain to fight inside the party? They ran away, but we will remain. Now there is a fight in the party, we will not run. We will fight it in this party,” Wike said.
“Those who run away from fight are weak people. But we will not.
“So everybody should know, this is the state where we are, so nobody should tell you stories.”
He also plainly accused Atiku of not holding Rivers State in high regard.

Surely, this is the hand of God at work. I love this. Believe me I cant even accept someone who once left a party I belong to, coming back to become a presidential flag bearer nor will anyone called Christian support a person who tweeted about the killing of Deborah Samuel and deleted it when a backlash came from his folks. . Imagine Tambuwwal behaviour, Deborah Samuel was killed at his footstep, he did not provide a vehicle to remove her remains, did not pay condolence visit to that family nor did he pay the mortuary bill of that deceased girl. Yet during Christians celebrations, they will be first to for call unity. These are mockers whom God warned Christians to stay away from. Therefore , Wike and all other Governors who say that they are Christians should be guided by this particular issue. Let those who have the knowledge of God and love Him try to understand.
These people are not better than African wild dogs that start eating their prey before the prey is dead. Most of them cannot be trusted but we the voters are boxed to a corner because they are the same….all looters, only there for their family and crooks like them.
