2023: “You’re Obi’s manager, stop conducting polls” – Sowore fires Peterside

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, on Thursday said that the Founder of ANAP Foundation, Atedo Peterside “should not be conducting opinion polls” because he is the campaign manager of Peter Obi, presidential flag-bearer of the Labour Party for the 2023 election.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that a poll conducted by NOI Polls and commissioned by ANAP Foundation has shown that Obi would triumph if Nigeria’s presidential election was held today.

The poll which was conducted this month (September) points to a three-horse presidential race between Obi, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

They, however, described Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) who came fourth in the poll as a ‘dark horse’.

Reacting to the outcome of the poll, Sowore wrote on his verified Facebook page: “@AtedoPeterside should not be conducting opinion polls. He lacks the credibility to conduct any polls.

“He’s @PeterObi’s campaign mgr. This is like Lagos NURTW/@Mcoluomo9 conducting a poll that states that @officialABAT would win the 2023 Presidential election. Stop rigging polls!”
