Terrorists Are Plotting Coup Against Northern Governors — Ayodele Raises Alarm

The Spiritual Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has raised a chilling alarm regarding a coordinated plot by terrorist groups to destabilize Northern Nigeria.

In a fresh prophetic warning, the cleric claimed that insurgent elements are actively strategizing to execute coups against sitting state governors and forcibly remove traditional rulers from their thrones.

Primate Ayodele, through a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, revealed that these hostile actors are not working in isolation.

According to him, the plotters enjoy significant backing from both local collaborators and international interests, aiming to shut down various government houses across the region.

The cleric emphasized that the threat is imminent and requires an immediate overhaul of the current security architecture in the North to prevent a monumental embarrassment to the nation.

“Governors in the northern part must increase their security so that terrorists will not attempt a coup to remove a governor or shut down the government offices. They can even vacate some Emirs from power in the north. They have local and international backup, and this must not be taken lightly. Let’s navigate solutions spiritually and technologically because this will trigger America’s annoyance,” the statement read.

Expanding on the security threats, Ayodele warned of a looming wave of violence orchestrated by bandits.

He specifically named ten states—Borno, Bauchi, Katsina, Niger, Adamawa, Zamfara, Ondo, Edo, Kaduna, and Taraba—as primary targets for major attacks within the next three months.

The Primate urged military formations to remain on high alert, noting that the predicted surge in violence between February and April could provoke international intervention, particularly from the United States.

He stressed that soft targets such as schools and markets must be heavily fortified to prevent mass casualties.

The cleric also weighed in on the brewing tension in Anambra State, where Governor Charles Soludo recently ordered traders to ignore the long-standing Monday sit-at-home directive.

While Ayodele acknowledged the governor’s intent to revive the state’s economy, he warned that the move might backfire if not supported by a massive security presence.
