“People believe in the infinity signature of Tinubu’s cap” – APC Chairman Yilwatda

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Nentawe Yilwatda has said that several Nigerians believe in the infinity signature of President Bola Tinubu’s cap.
President Tinubu has been known to wear the popular Yoruba cap known as “fila” with a inifinty sign on it.
The president started wearing this cap in 1999 and has continued to use this sign on his caps even during his tenure as governor of Lagos State and now as president of Nigeria.
Also, as a sign of solidarity to his political ideals, his supporters and members of his party including top politicians wear their caps with the infinity sign.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, on Tuesday, Yilwatda said the infinity sign represents freedom.
His words, “The people believe in the infinity signature, in the infinity sign of freedom which Mr President after the military handed over power in 1999. He felt like that yoke, the military yoke over Nigeria had been broken.
“Freedom of association, freedom from poverty, freedom from military entanglement after the military handed over power in 1999. And that is why he brought it and most people who believed in it, bought into it and started wearing it as a sign of freedom.
Informed that some of the critics of the president and the ruling party have likened the Tinubu infinity cap insignia to an occult ensemble, Yilwatda said critics do not define the moment.
Yilwatda said, “Critics as usual, they tnd to find any loophole, visible or invisible. Sometimes, they don’t even exist, they create them.
“Critics create environment and give an impression of what doesn’t exist and I think this is one of them,” he added.
