JUST IN: Tinubu appoints 2 MDs, names 8 board members, nominates 2 RMAFC commissioners

President Bola Tinubu has appointed two managing directors, named eight board members and nominated two commissioners to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The appointments were announced in a statement on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to the president on information and strategy.
The president appointed Magaji Da’u Aliyu as managing director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Abuja.
SHESTCO is responsible for research and development in science and technology and operates a nuclear research facility.
Tinubu also appointed Adesayo Olusegun Michael as managing director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
Other members appointed to the NEMSA board include Aliyu Abdulazeez as executive director (technical) and Ikechi Clara Nwosu as chairman representing the South-East.
The board members also include Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris, Igba Elizabeth representing the North-Central, Sani Alhaji Shehu representing the North-East, Adeyemi Adetunji representing the South-West, Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe representing the South-South and Charles Ogbonna Asogwa representing the South-East.
The president further nominated Amina Gamawa from Bauchi and Abdullahi Muktar from Kaduna as commissioners to the RMAFC.
Tinubu has forwarded the two nominees to the Senate for confirmation.
