JUST IN: ICPC invites El-Rufai for questioning days after EFCC invitation
Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna State, says the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has invited him for questioning.
El-Rufai disclosed this on Friday in a post on X, stating that the invitation followed what he described as a failed attempt to abduct him.
He wrote, “Yesterday, after the futile attempt to abduct me, the ICPC delivered a letter to invite me to their office.”
He added, “My lawyer has written to confirm that I will be attending the ICPC office on Wednesday, 18 February 2026.”
Officials of the ICPC had made attempts to arrest El-Rufai at the Abuja Airport on Thursday, but they were resisted by friends and associates of the former governor,
