Supporting Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election a Must for the North – Yilwatda Declares [PHOTOS]

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has commended Bola Tinubu for what he described as efforts to move Nigeria to greater heights since assuming office in 2023.
He also said the Tinubu administration had delivered more projects and capacity-building initiatives to the Northern region than any other part of the country, urging Northerners to reciprocate by supporting the President’s re-election bid in 2027.
Yilwatda spoke on Thursday in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, during a solidarity rally organised to appreciate the President and Governor Abdullahi Sule for what organisers described as their achievements.
He said, “Mr. President has shown that Nigeria can be one. Mr. President has shown that Nigeria can be inclusive. He has shown that the government can be resolute. That is why we are here.
“We have a road from Sokoto to Badagry, and it is going to carry over 60 dams that will have water for irrigation. It will provide agriculture, electricity, and clean water. This is what Mr. President is providing for us in the North.
“Mr. President is providing railways, the rail line that will run from Abuja to Kano and to the Niger Republic. For all of us in the North, it simply means that we will become importers and exporters because the entire northern part of Sudan, Burkina Faso and Chad will rely on us for their imports.
“All these projects are being done by Mr. President. That is why it will be a disservice to the North if we do not support him, because nobody may have the capacity to do those projects for us again. Supporting Mr. President is a must for the North because of what he has laid, what he is doing, and what he will do for the entire region.”
While receiving thousands of defectors from other political parties into the APC, the national chairman also commended Governor Sule for what he described as good governance in the state.
He praised infrastructural development across the 13 local government areas, including flyovers, urban and rural roads, schools, hospitals, and the airport, describing Nasarawa State as a model for others in the pursuit of national development.
In his remarks, Governor Sule thanked residents for the large turnout and for their continued support for both his administration and that of the President, noting that federal allocations to the state had increased due to Tinubu’s policy direction.
Also speaking, Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, commended both Tinubu and Sule for what he termed quality leadership. He inaugurated coordinators and ambassadors of the Renewed Hope Agenda across the state’s three senatorial districts and 13 local government areas, urging them to promote the President’s achievements at the grassroots.
Other party leaders, including former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu, pledged to work with the ambassadors to mobilise support.
Among the defectors received into the APC were several prominent political figures and lawmakers from across the state.
The rally, which began at the State Secretariat along Shendam Road and ended at Lafia Square, was organised by the Office of the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda in collaboration with the Nasarawa State Ministry for Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs.
