“Only thing working in Nigeria today is bad news” – Peter Obi slams Tinubu over health budget

Peter Obi has slammed President Bola Tinubu over the outrageous and luxurious expenditures made by his administration at the detriment of Nigerians.
Obi made his concerns known during a meeting with Abuja chiefs while campaigning for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the Federal Capital Territory Council elections.
Commending the chiefs on the start of this year’s Ramadan, Obi said now is the time to oust the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by President Tinubu from power.
The former Anambra State governor also decried the state of health facilities across Nigeria and how citizens now rely on fate for basic needs.
According to him, the only thing that seems to be working in Nigeria currently is “bad news”.
He also stated that most Nigerians now depend on prayers to access any form of basic health care service.
He said, “My own is a very simple one, we are here to talk about the future of our country. All of you know what is happening with our country today.
“That’s why we are campaigning that you vote out this government because they’ve destroyed and are destroying our country, Nigeria,” Obi said.
Decrying the level of insecurity and bloodletting going on across the country in the name of terrorism and banditry, Obi urged the FCT residents to ensure they vote for ADC at the council polls.
“Today we have insecurity across Nigeria, we have hunger across Nigeria, we have suffering across Nigeria. The only thing that is working in Nigeria today is bad news. Every morning you wake up, it is bad news.
“We are urging you to vote for change and bring a new Nigeria where our children will be in school and our hospitals will work.
“Today if you’re sick in Nigeria, if you’re a Muslim, you’re praying to Almighty Allah; if you re a Christian, you’re doing the same thing. Because we are now in a country where our president spends N360 billion to buy and refit his plane and spends N36 million in capital vote for the Ministry of Health. That is 0.0116 per cent of the budget, that’s what he spent. So, it’s to your tent o Israel!” Obi stated.
