Gov Bala Mohammed swears in new commissioner, 5 advisers, others

The governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has sworn in the newly appointed commissioner for education, five special advisers and two members of the Civil Service Commission.
The swearing-in ceremony took place in Bauchi on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
Speaking at the event, Mohammed said the appointment of the new cabinet members is a sequel to a careful assessment of their pedigree, public acceptability and experience.
He also stated that their appointment is based on his administration’s committment to repositioning the state’s machinery for more effective policy formulation and implementation.
Also congratulating the new appointees, the governor called for dedication to service, upholding the integrity of service and ensuring they carry out their jobs diligently.
He further highlighted his administration’s achievements, including infrastructural development, rehabilitation of schools, health facilities among others, since assuming office.
According to the governor, various intervention projects carried out by his administration span across sectors including agriculture, solid minerals, water resources, education, health and technology.
Highlighting the need for continuity and continuous development in every sector, Mohammed urged the new officials to deploy their knowledge and expertise in sustaining developmental momentum in the state.
In his address, the newly appointed commissioner, Abdulkadir Mohammed, who replaced a suspended commissioner, appreciated tge governor for having confidence in them.
Abdulkadir who spoke on behalf of all the appointees assured the governor of their committment to serving the state and the people of Bauchi.
He also commended the governor’s administration over what he described as visible infrastructural and socio-economic transformation across Bauchi state.
