FCT polls: “Vote ADC, defend your ballot” – Pat Utomi tells Abuja residents

Former presidential candidate, Prof. Pat Utomi has urged residents of Abuja to vote for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the forthcoming election and safeguard their ballots.

In a post shared on his X handle, Utomi called on voters in the Federal Capital Territory to turn out in large numbers and resist what he described as “state capture”.

His words: “If you live in Abuja you have a chance to signal to the cabal of state capture that Nigerians cherish their freedom.

“Turn out massively tomorrow and vote Dr Mo. Vote ADC. Ensure you defend your vote from rigging. It’s worth the trouble. The entire future of Nigeria is at stake.”

Utomi added that the election presents an opportunity for citizens to demonstrate their commitment to democracy and the country’s future.

The FCT polls are seen as a practical test of the newly amended Electoral Act 2026, coming just days after the law was signed.
