JUST IN: Makinde Holds Closed-door with Kwankwanso in Ibadan

Governor Seyi Makinde on Wednesday received former Kano State governor and 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, at the Oyo State Government Secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan.

Kwankwaso arrived at the Governor’s Office alongside a small delegation of political allies and associates. He was welcomed by Governor Makinde before being led straight into the governor’s private office.

Sources at the Secretariat confirmed that the meeting is being held behind closed doors. No official statement has been issued on the purpose of the visit as of the time of filing this report.

However, the meeting may not be unconnected to ongoing consultations and realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Security presence was noticeable within the Secretariat complex, while access to the governor’s office was restricted during the meeting.

Nevertheless, the meeting is still ongoing at the time of this report, with more information expected to emerge later.
