2027 Election: Kaduna Govt Gives Deadline, Orders Resignation of All Appointees

The administration of Governor Uba Sani has issued a formal directive to all political appointees in Kaduna State who intend to participate in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
According to the government order, any official currently serving in the state executive or various agencies who harbors elective ambitions must vacate their office by the 23rd of March, 2026.
This decision is aimed at ensuring that the machinery of government remains focused on service delivery without the distractions of early campaigning.
The directive applies to commissioners, special advisers, and heads of various departments who are eyeing seats in either the state or federal legislative houses, as well as other executive positions.
By setting this deadline, the state government seeks to comply with the necessary legal frameworks and the electoral guidelines that govern the conduct of public officers.
It also allows the Governor enough time to reorganize his cabinet and fill vacancies to prevent any vacuum in the governance of the state as the political season approaches.
