WATCH: Iran Releases Video of Captured US Soldiers in Ongoing War

Iran has released a video allegedly showing captured United States soldiers as fighting continues between the US, Israel and the Islamic Republic.

The footage circulating online shows several American soldiers kneeling on the ground with their hands tied behind their backs.

The soldiers appear to be surrounded by armed personnel believed to be Iranian forces. The video quickly spread across social media amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East.

Iranian officials have suggested that the soldiers were taken during ongoing retaliatory operations against US interests in the region.

However, the United States military has strongly denied the claim, insisting that no American troops have been captured.

In the footage, the US soldiers were made to kneel down with their hands in cuffs backward.

POLITICS NIGERIA had reported that trouble started on February 28, when the United States, alongside its ally Israel, attacked Iran with air strikes resulting in the death of its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The hostilities have continued with Iran striking US interests in neighbouring countries and Israel with drones and missiles.

The United States has recorded no fewer than seven slain soldiers in the course of the crisis and at least 104 wounded persons.

The ongoing war has also triggered retaliatory strikes across the Middle East, with both sides exchanging missile and drone attacks on military installations and strategic targets.
