“People are really suffering” – Obidient Movement blasts Tinubu’s govt over petrol prices

The Obidient Movement Worldwide has asked the Federal Government to protect Nigerians from the impact of rising petrol prices.
The call follows recent remarks by Wale Edun, minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy.
Edun ruled out price controls for petroleum products despite volatility in global oil markets triggered by tensions in the Middle East.
Yunusa Tanko, national coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, said the government must communicate honestly with Nigerians.
His words: “If you tell the truth, people will be prepared. They will be prepared for the unforeseen circumstances.
“This particular government lacks the communication skill of giving the right information to the people, and that has brought us to our knees as we are.
“People are really suffering, and we cannot continue like that. So, they need to come out clean to tell the true situation of the country to the people so they can be more prepared. Anything short of that will end up in a more disastrous situation.
“The US, Iran, and Israel war may even escalate beyond what we are thinking. So, how prepared are we?”
