APC Suspends Former Minister, Uche Ogah, Gives Reasons

The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Uche Sampson Ogah, remains suspended from the party and does not have the authority to speak on its behalf.
The party recalled that Ogah was suspended in 2022 by his Ward in Isuikwuato over allegations that he organised a parallel primary election during preparations for the 2023 governorship election in Abia State.
Reacting to Ogah’s recent endorsement of Governor Alex Otti, the Legal Officer of Abia APC, Vigilus Nwankwo, said the suspension remains in force.
Nwankwo, who spoke after a meeting of the party’s State Working Committee in Umuahia, explained that Ogah’s views are strictly personal and can’t be taken as the official position of the APC in Abia State.
Meanwhile, sources say Ogah was suspended for supporting Governor Alex Otti second term bid.
