“God’ll intervene for PDP in 2027” – Bayelsa party chairman

The newly elected chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, George Turnah has said that God Almighty will intervene on behalf of the party in the forthcoming 2027 general election.

Turnah said the party, despite its challenges, will dislodge the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2027.

Speaking shortly after his election as the Bayelsa PDP chairman for the Nyesom Wike-backed party in the state, Turnah said PDP is still “alive” and operational as a political party.

“We are not ungrateful people, we will continue to stand by this party, even when human machination fails PDP in Bayelsa State.

“God has always intervened, that God that intervened on behalf of PDP in Bayelsa in 2019, is still the same God today, come 2027, PDP will under our leadership will not only make a strong statement, but we will also deliver to the expectations of the world, Bayelsa Creek Haven also belongs to PDP,” Turnah said.

He also called on members and leaders of the party to come together and work as a unified body to emerge victorious at the 2027 polls.

According to him, the PDP has taken the right position to assume control of the governance process in the state

“We thank our delegates, the panel and INEC observers, I like to accept this mandate, on behalf my team, members of the newly elected State Working Committee and myself, we say we are delighted to take this mandate as a sacred mandate of our people given to us freely and we will not betray this confidence that you have all reposed in us.

“We will work with all our hearts, in line with the oath of office that we have just taken before you today,” he added.
