Gov Mutfwang Reshuffles Cabinet, Sacks 6 Aides, Suspends Commission Chairman

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has carried out a major shake-up in his administration, removing six political appointees and suspending a key government official.
The move, announced on Tuesday, is part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
The development was made public in Jos through an official statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau. The action signals a firm stance by the governor as he seeks to reposition his cabinet for better performance.
According to the statement, the decision followed a review of the administration’s operations. It was aimed at ensuring greater efficiency and accountability in government activities. The affected officials were relieved of their duties with immediate effect.
Those removed include Timothy Golu, who served as Special Adviser on Strategic Communication. Also affected is Fom Gwottson, Liaison Officer for Jos South. Others are Nanbol Rimvyat and Nannim Langyi, both Liaison Officers for Langtang North.
The list also includes Paul Datugum, Liaison Officer for Qua’an Pan, and Nimchat Rims, Liaison Officer for Langtang South. All six officials have been directed to hand over government property in their possession without delay.
In a related action, the governor approved the suspension of Johnbull Shekarau, Chairman of the Plateau State House of Assembly Service Commission. The suspension followed allegations of misconduct that were said to fall short of expected standards.
Government sources noted that the decision was not taken lightly. It was described as necessary to maintain discipline and uphold the integrity of public office.
Despite the action, the governor expressed appreciation to the affected individuals for their contributions while in office. He wished them success in their future pursuits.
