Seyi Tinubu, the son of President, Bola Tinubu has received a special Episcopal blessing from the Catholic Bishop of Maria Mater Ecclesia, Ahiara Diocese, Simon Okezuo Iweobi.
The blessing was handed to Seyi by the Bishoo during a thanksgiving and reception ceremony held in Mbaise, Imo State.
At the historic Maria Mater Ecclesia Cathedral, the event was organised to celebrate the successful completion of the five-year tenure of Belusochukwu Enwere as National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).
The ceremony drew political figures, church leaders, youth representatives and community stakeholders who gathered to honour Enwere’s leadership of the Christian youth organisation between 2021 and 2026.
During the event, Bishop Iweobi offered prayers and blessings for Seyi Tinubu, who attended the ceremony as a special guest.

The epicosal blessing, according to church tradition, symbolises prayers for divine guidance, protection and wisdom in leadership and service to society.
The Thanksgiving service was marked by hymns, prayers and expressions of gratitude for what organisers described as a successful tenure by Enwere at the helm of YOWICAN.
Speakers at the event commended the former youth leader for his contributions to strengthening Christian youth engagement, promoting unity among Christian youths and encouraging greater participation in nation-building.
Clergy members present at the gathering also emphasised the role of faith-based youth organisations in promoting moral values, social responsibility and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
Enwere, while addressing guests, expressed gratitude to religious leaders, youth groups and stakeholders who supported his leadership throughout his tenure.
He noted that the five years were marked by efforts to empower Christian youths, strengthen interfaith understanding and expand the voice of young people in national discourse.
Seyi’s presence at the ceremony attracted the attention of dignitaries, with many describing it as a sign of solidarity between youth leaders across religious and political spaces.
The attendees also appreciated Seyi for his humility towards service to humanity and his contributions towards youth development across the nation.
Worshippers and participants at the Thanksgiving said the gathering reflected the continued influence of church institutions in community leadership and youth development, particularly in southeastern Nigeria where faith-based organisations play a significant role in social mobilisation.
The event witnessed a reception attended by dignitaries, community leaders and youth representatives who celebrated Enwere’s tenure and prayed for continued unity, peace and progress in Nigeria.
